Hayleys Agriculture Training School Inspires Future Agri Leaders

A group of 26 students from the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, participated in a one-day exposure visit to the Agri Equipment (AEQ) facilities of Hayleys Agriculture at Seeduwa and Ekala on 19th September 2025. Organised through the Hayleys Agriculture Training School (HATS), the program went beyond classroom theory to prepare undergraduates for the real world, providing practical knowledge, hands-on experience, and a deeper understanding of modern agricultural technologies.

The visit featured an awareness session on Protected Agriculture and Irrigation applications with live product demonstrations at the Ekala facility, along with a walkthrough of the Inotec PE pipe manufacturing process. At the Seeduwa facility, students engaged in sessions and demonstrations on tractors, harvesters, and post-harvest machinery, gaining valuable insight into operating mechanisms and performance. This immersive one-day training equipped the students with practical skills and knowledge, preparing them for future careers in Sri Lanka’s agriculture sector.
