Hayleys Agriculture Bridges the Gap Between Theory and Practice – June 2023

We were honored to host an exposure visit for undergraduate students from the Department of Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, on the 27th of June 2023.

This visit provided an invaluable opportunity for students and members of the academic staff to witness firsthand the latest farm machinery and cutting-edge technology available in Sri Lanka. As an integral part of their course, the students gained practical knowledge of both light and heavy machinery.

Our journey started at the Hayleys Agriculture Training School in Ekala, Ja-Ela, where the students immersed themselves in a hands-on learning experience. They were able to witness the application of advanced techniques and get acquainted with the latest developments in the agricultural sector.

The exposure visit continued to the Hayleys Agriculture Machinery Warehouse in Seeduwa, where the students explored a wide range of modern machinery designed to enhance productivity and efficiency in farming.

We are proud to have played a part in enriching the students’ educational journey and helping them bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and real-world applications.
